…or something like that was planned.
It was barely 3 hours this morning, including driving to and fro.

Ein Tag im Park - jedenfalls war das geplant.
Ich war vielleicht max. 3 Stunden. Inkl. Hin und Rueckfahrt.

It started out nice enough with a cool scenery

Es hat an sich gut angefangen mit einer wunderschoenen Aussicht

The dogs went well with the long leashes, better than yesterday’s first try

Die Hunde sind auch viel besser an den Ausziehleinen marschiert, als gestern noch

But then the flies came

Aber dann kamen die Fliegen

They started at the pasture for the long horned beef - yuck

Die kamen, als wir das Feld erreicht haben, wo sie immer die Langhornrinder grasen lassen - Igitt

Then came the weeds and mosquitoes and after that 1.80m high nettles.
Uhm, thanks, but no thanks.
I know, they are good for your blood circulation, but all in good measure, ok

Dann kam das Unkraut und die Stechmuecken. Danach 1.80m hohe Brennesseln. Zwar gesund fuer die Durchblutung, aber hey, alles in Massen

I could barely stop to shoot these (not an eagle I’m afraid, “just” a buzzard - pretty big from close by though)

Ich konnte kaum lange genug anhalten, um die hier zu knipsen (kein Adler, leider, “nur” ein Bussard - ein recht grosser jedenfalls so von nahem)

…before the mosquitoes (and horse flies and normal flies) came over me and tried to eat me - yuck!

….als auch schon die Stechmuecken (und Schnaken und Fliegen) ueber mich hergefallen sind und versucht haben mich zu fressen - Igitt

We tried one more path into the forest, but it was even worse with moquitoes, even though you could walk.
Well, for the first 300 meters you could, then the nettles started again.
There were two beautiful woodpeckers, but when I tried to shoot a pic, mosquitoes were all over me, despite the creme I put on earlier.

Wir haben noch einen weiteren Weg in den Wald rein probiert, aber der war noch schlimmer mit Stechmuecken infiziert, auch wenn man da zumindest laufen konnte.
Jedenfalls die ersten 300 meter. Dann kamen wieder Brennesseln in Fusshoehe und Stolperwurzelln.
Da waren 2 wunderschoene Buntspechte, zum knipsen kam ich aber nicht, da sofort die Stechmuecken ueber mich hergefallen sind, trotz Mueckencreme

So we headed back to the car, where I saw two buzzards play in the air, I tried to capture them, but they were too far.

Also sind wir wieder retour Rtg Auto, wo wir noch 2 Bussarde am Himmel haben spielen sehen. Ich habe versucht sie zu knipsen, aber sie waren zu weit weg.

Plus, the sky started to get threatening

Ausserdem hat der Himmel angefangen, etwas bedrohlich auszusehen

All in all it was about 3km of a walk and my legs are still slightly burning from the nettles
Not a tour I need to repeat.
I got some nice wildflower shots too, I’ll post them another day.

Alles in allem waren es knappe 3km und meine Beine brimsen jetzt noch
Keine Tour, die ich wiederholen muss.
Ich habe noch einige schoene Blumenfotos.
