News update:
Egypt police clash with protesters over flood crisis

The inner part of the Old market.

Still mud everywhere and the cleaning goes on.

Trash piled up behind the houses, mostly washed down
from the mountain top.
I guess they were lucky that the whole mountain didn’t
come down on them.
That area is surrounded by various big Clifftops.

Ruined furniture everywhere.

Pics from yesterday morning.

This is the last part of my posts of the storm and the aftermath.

The mud everywhere makes it look like a frontier town of a by-gone era.

Such devastation. You have captured this very well. What a job it's going to be to get back to some normalcy

Hello Nicole, Haven't been able to visit for a while for various reasons and now I do it seems you've been experiencing terrible storms and devastation. Your photos have documented it all extremely well, and I'm sorry for all the difficulties you must now be experiencing because of it. Am I right to assume your apartment is a little way from where the worst problems hit? Stay safe. Hope you have a good weekend.

Thanks everyone - yes, we are away from the worst hit areas.

There are still areas at the Sinai where people are without aid.
Houses got destroyed and all the government did was pay the people 100LE (around 18$ ) and give them a piece bread, cheese and 1 orange juice,...
