Traffic started to thicken close to 8 am and with it the people
with not much common sense.
They had to drive through those puddles with two or more cars or even big trucks.

Check Part one for some links to news Sites.
If you find more, feel free to leave them in the comments

Thanks!

Part 6 will come later, I’ll be out and see if there’s still an aftermath to be seen ‘downtown’ or if all is cleaned up and repaired by now

Hi!

We were also there in the storm. When it began we were in Naama Bay, and at first people said oh, rain, it will soon stop and they were happy about it. But then it started to get windy and the rain just poured down. The whole Naama Bay got black, and the sky was white of the lightnings. We say the water flodd into shops and destroy them. People tried to carry it away into plasticbags. The streets were full of water also and trees had blowed down.
We lived in S:t Georges hotel and when we came back there, some bits of the roof were down and several rooms had water too. The airport were closed and they opened again late tuesday evening. One building was destroyed there too. We felt so sorry for the people there, they work so hard and got so much destroyed.

@Kvelli - Jau, die finde ich auch immer wieder faszinierend :)

@Eva - glad you were safe.
I can only imagine how scary it was.
I saw the aftermath on the Old market today - they are still cleaning up the mud.

So sad. Stay safe. And use lots of insect repellent.

Nicole: You certainly captured the results of your storm. People should never try to drive through lakes. I can remember this kind of flooding while in Texas.

Hmmm. I hope it's worth damaging their cars to get to wherever they think they need to go!
