Al Hashemi - Kuwait Marine Museum

by NicoleB Email

OK, I know I promised more pictures of this Beauty.

But I also wanted to provide some Information of what this ship is about.
I know I had some somewhere, but I can’t find it.
I found a whole lot of new links for my Kuwait collection though.
Seems like Kuwait is finally getting the idea of better marketing their place to get Tourists.
Still way to go, but someone is doing something ;)

I’ll keep looking and post the whole Set - with information - as soon as I have found it :)
Promise.

I haven't been to the Marine Museum. Maybe sometime during the summer I'll visit it :)

Gigantisch, Lu :)!!

@Joel, don't plan it a day trip, it took me about 5 minutes in the museum n(unless you read all the signs - I took pics of them to read later ;) ), but the ship is worth an hour :)!

I'll try my Best to find something, Sandy :)

It's in SAS, Massela. It's amazing from the inside, but you have to ask if you can get it. It's not a museum, but like those celebration places they rent.

The ship itself is not a museum, right.
But there's a small museum beside it :)

Would have loved to see the inside, but there was a big conference going on.
Maybe next time :)

Nicole, the Al Ahmadi singers usually have a winter and a spring concert inside the ship. They are fabulous, do great music (they even have their own orchestra) and you get to see the inside of the ballroom in the ship, with all it's chandeliers and wood beamed ceilings in addition to the great music. I think they have a concert coming up in April.

As I understand it, it just looks like a ship; it is really a building with a lower level that is now a very good new Indian restaurant called . . .Rangoon? Something like that. There is even parking inside!
