Bedouin men at work

Bedouin men at work, St. Catherine's monastery

The Bedouin men doing the hard Labor of selling junk souvenirs to the tourists.
Their little boys help them.

Women do a different job. So do their little girls.
See yesterday’s post for that.

@Dirk - Schnee??!! In echt?

@Dan - Rocks with crystals in them that their boys found in the mountains, some camels and vases made out of a special stone (not sure of the name), clothes and handbags, booklets with Infos of the monastery,...

Siehe meinen Kommentar weiter oben.

Brigitte

yr posts about the bedouin is very imformative to me as in the first place i know nothing about them. but it seems to me, their life in the desert is harsh, very harsh.

It looked to me like the woman in yesterdays photo has a harder job than the men do. I love these pictures :)

@BengBeng - yes, their Life is harsh, but most of them appreciate their Life style.
It's just that they can't fully live it any more. Many make the Best out of it, but some go down the hill :(

@Tabib - I did buy a book about the monastery (cheaper than 'in town') and a Rock with a crystal from a little boy along the way (much cheaper than what the 'parents' wanted)
Didn't have the time to dig through the other stuff since we were running late, sigh :)

@Thom - that's normal in these countries, I think.

@Lisa - I would have bought something too, had I had more time ;)

Hahaha! Love your comment about junk. Most of the stuff in North American homes is "junk" so if it's being purchased by Americans or Canadians it will fit right in.
