Birdies in the sky
This would have been my first entry to Skywatch Friday, but since I am “earning” money with my Site (a whole Dollar or so on ad revenue) I would need a special permission to partake.
Too much of a hassle for me.
So, just enjoy my birdy anyway ![]()
This one’s a bird we’ve seen on our walk on Tuesday. It looked like a Buzzard and then it didn’t. I asked my friends over in at Surfbirds and Colin came up with the idea of it being a female Marsh Harrier, Rohrweihe in German, Circus aeruginosus (thanks to Bavarianbirds for the translation!).
Looking it up in my smart Kosmos animal guide book, I read that the Marsh Harrier belongs to the family of buzzards.
I think I want to go back there and check out if I can get a closer and better shot at it
Happy Friday everyone

I'm a bit late on my bloggy run this weekend. I gotta adjust it to the good weather
Cool - thanks, Terri!!

LOL, BengBeng!

Grin, Mojo, I keep trying. My best one so far is a stork in flight last year.
But then, fat chance to miss a big thing like a stork
This guy was quite far away, so the quality isn't top notch, oh well

Danke, Kvelli, ebenso

Can you give me the name, please?
And Terri has pointed out a Meme that opened up for those reasons.
I'll check it out on Friday
