Those were the first Cormorants I have seen here in Hungary.
I didn't even know they are here.
They must have been breeding at that lake, because there were at least 15 flying around there (another training school
)The shrike is my favorite too.
I found him when I was tagging along off trail. He was just sitting on that fence and looking at me and the dogs like we were some crazy fools stomping around in the undergrowth (which we were).
I get most of the names out of a nature guide and some bird ID from www.surfbirds.com

@Ingrid - Da sassen 2 weiter unten am Wasser und haben sich richtig schoen in Pose geschmissen. Aber die waren wirklich zu weit weg und in einem fuer mich unmoeglichen Winkel.
