Blog Green - Recycling

Mrs Scriber asked me a short while back, if we have a recycling system in Hungary.

I said no, not really. Especially not where we are.

Wrong.

We have recycling containers. I remembered. And they are not even far away.
Sometimes I’m a real moron.

Oh well, at least the paper & the plastic bottles will go there from now on.

My first step to do something for Blog Green :)

I also set up a little place on the web as a clean spot for Information about what we have done so far.
If someone has more ideas, let me know.

I’m not a web developer, so bare with my attempts in html patchwork.

Good. The more we recycle the less raw material we need to use.

Here is an observation....looking at the photo of the recycling containers...they are actually sorta "cute" compared to ones around here which are big iron boxes with flaking paint...but my observation is how the containers themselves can encourage or discourage recycling. The containers can be pretty nasty looking when you approach them. So my idea and please don't think I am trying to give you a work assignment : ) In the Spring on a sunny day, get a friend or two together with buckets and scrub brushes and wash the outside of the containers. It's a thing I can do here as well. I think, for instance, that a well-intending parent bringing a child to the recycle center to teach them about recycling would not actually want that child even touching the thing! I think it could be a fun project and if I was there I would definitely want to help! I will do what I can here! Rock on, Nicole! Peace. d.

Really cool. I like the recycle containers. You know when I went to Cabos I shot a photo of some cool recycle bins. I'll post it on my blog sometime.
