Calligraphy street art in Seoul, South Korea
A very old shot from 2004, but still one of my favorites.
There’s a street in Seoul dedicated to art products, one shop after another.
Once a week (?) they have a parade, people in costumes, bands and artists like this guy that draw calligraphy on the run.
There was a small flee market too. I loved the whole place.

Es gibt eine Strasse in Seoul, die komplett der Kunst gewidmet ist. Ein Geschaeft am naechsten.
Einmal die Woche (?) gibt es einen Umzug mit Leuten in Kostuemen, Bands und Kuenstlern wie diesem hier, die im Laufschritt Calligraphy (was ist das auf Deutsch?) malen.
Es gab auch einen kleinen Flohmarkt.

Sowas dauerhaftes gibt es bei uns gar nicht. Nur mal so Straßenmal-Wettbewerbe. Die Idee ist aber sehr schön. Würde sich in Altstädten sehr gut anbieten. Leider sind unsere Bürokraten da nicht besonders innovativ unterwegs...

I love the presence of artists on the streets...it contributes I think, to the whole larger community's sense of itself!
