Christmas in Sharm el Sheikh

Christmas in Sharm el Sheikh
Christmas in Sharm el Sheikh

(Once again, sorry for the quality - Click for big)

Not even in Egypt they stop advertising Christmas a long time before the actual event.

The pic of the Giant seized, blown up Santa didn’t turn out like anything usable at all, since hubby was in a rush to get out of the smelly meat market area (I don’t blame him).

Then I saw this shop, full of Christmas stuff.

And that’s almost two weeks before the 1st of Advent.

Now, where’s the Christmas chocolate and where’s the Christmas Bakery????

We don't have Carrefour.
Yet.

They are building a big and a small one though.

Well, that could mean we have it soon, or never....we are in Egypt after all, no ;)

Na ja, immerhin schön zu sehen, dass auch die "alten" Ägypter ihren Weihnachsmann haben...
Sei lieb gegrüßt

I saw this animated dancing Santa here in Singapore too.
You know what they do?
They change the Santa outfit to Chinese Custom suit when it come to Lunar New Year! Very creative :)

Machen sie das nur für die Touristen? Es sieht übrigens ziemlich amerikanisch aus ;-)

It's very surprising, somehow, to see a Santa in an Egyptian market. You definitely need chocolate. And candy canes.

I am very surprised to see Santa in Egypt. I would have never have guessed it if I hadn't seen it here. I guess marketers know a good thing when they see it.

Very surprised to see blow up Santa. As for chocolate and baked goods, I can't imagine you'll find anything to rival Germany's wonderful Christmas markets. I visited the ones in Hamburg and Lübeck a few years ago and would love to go back.
