Oh no! Who let them out of the clocks! There are several people bewildered because their clocks haven't cuckoo-ed!

Great pictures - I have to admit that although I've heard them often I've never actually seen a cuckoo, so I'm impressed with these in flight shots!

I don't think I would like a cuckoo clock every 15 minutes reminding me that I am crazy! I would like a Tweety bird clock that had a little yellow bird that pops out and says "I tawt I taw a puddy tat! That would drive my dog crazy!

Never seen a cuckoo.
I love the first image in the collage with the head showing and the last one with a hint of light on the wing.
Nice shots!

I love Quilly's idea of all the cuckoos on the run from their clocks. As for Dan's preferred clock - well, we used to have the record (an old 78) of Tweetie Pie singing 'I tort I taw a puddy cat' and on the flip side it was Bugs Bunny singing 'Oh, I'm glad to be the way I am. Who cares if I look funny! No matter what the others think, I'm glad that I'm Bugs Bunny', all of which will likely mean nothing to you, Nicole, and I'm very sorry... Won't do it again. Nice cuckoo collection...

Thanks all for the good giggle :D!

Dan, I would love a clock like that.

Quilly, that would drive clock makers nuts I guess, but the Union said they need a break to make more small cuckoos that fit in the clocks ;)

Janice, sure I know Bugs Bunny and Tweetie.
I loved them. All those cartoons!

Hello Nicole..I haven't ever seen a cuckoo either. It is the time of year for making birdy babies! Thank you for participating in Nature Notes and I especially love the birds....Michelle

They look big.I always imagined cuckoos to be small birds.

Thanks all :)

They actually are small, they belong to the dove family and are not bigger than a common dove
