There's always my method: Make a list of pros and cons, set it aside, and forget it. Life ends up making the decision for me. 'Course, I don't have a spouse to nag. ;-)

I usually say "uhum" and forget about it.
But the time comes close where one of the dogs needs Rabies shots (July) and that's always the question of "when's the best time", because they can't travel 30 days after the shots.
Not that anyone really cares and ever DID check the paperwork (gggrrr)

Sometimes rambling is what you need to do...

And if the point of the rambling is to let him know that you have his back, that's a good thing. Sometimes it's good to be reminded that your partner is there for you, and willing to be where you are, go where you go, because YOU are there.

I guess I don't have enough information to make a decision, lol

Knowing what to do about a job is hard, I live about an hour away from mine just because of all the hassle of living near it (plus we love the area we live more then we would living by work)

Wow. You are a great woman to support your husband like that. I wish I could say that I would do the same, but that climate would drive me insane!

Life is the journey, not only the destination.

It's definitely hard. It looks like miserable weather right now. I agree to make a list of pros and cons but if hubby needs to stay then you two need to decide.

I always tell him, it's up to him.
As long as the dogs are good to go, I go wherever he wants to go (unless it's Iraq, which still goes through his mind.... )

And yeah, living closer to the jobsite doesn't always pay off.
You need to like your surroundings and it needs to be sort of convenient.

I know what you mean.
I usually just ignore the things I don't like - or if I have to I ramble in my blog.
If I tell hubby, he thinks instantly that I want to leave and gets in "thinking" mode. So I rather stay quiet, because there are some valuable reasons for being here and sticking it out a bit longer
