Day 1
Today is day 1 of the Challenge2008 or 2008 Self Challenge.
Whatever you want to call it.
It started well with a long, brisk walk this morning.
A bit later I felt motivated to run a bit, but almost got killed on the tread mill ![]()
So I will see now what the Rest of the day will bring.

Not the Best picture ever, but I’m not gonna post a Bikini picture here, forget it ![]()
And yes, I was too lazy to use the tripod ![]()

lol. Just joking. Actually, I am out of shape and recently purchased a treadmill and started working on it seriously.
But keep in mind that cardio exercises are not that good for losing weight. The more you do cardio (jogging, walking etc.), the more you tend to feel hungry resulting in increased eating nullifying any gains made in the exercise.
Do incorporate some resistance training (weights, abs, crunches) to start shedding off the fat.

Until I started counting calories, I never realised it, but true weight loss comes from cutting back on the food you eat, not from exercising. 500 calories a day adds up to 1 pound a week. It was easy for me to cut 500 calories out of my diet (heck, that's two diet sodas swapped for regular) but exercising 500 calories' worth a day would have had me in the gym doing crazy amounts of exercise.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that whatever you do should be sustainable: you should feel like you can actually do it every day.

Grin, Megan, I was surprised yesterday at my calorie count. It was quite low, because I watched what I ate. I was somewhat around 1300, even with a chocolate cupcake.
Won't work every day, just have to match it with the exercise.
Am looking forward to this - just wish I had a buddy in crime like you did

There are so many tools now at wordpress that I miss here....but I love my multiple blogs and my multiuser Artist blog,....oh well.
Eyebrows are done by myself. When I go somewhere and have them done they make them too thin for my taste (even if I tell them not to). They end up being sort of crooked most of the time though when I do it,...oh well, I'm used to it

In pounds around 32 - in kilos around 14.
Not too much. Thing is, I will still look about the same, that's usually what happens.
I gain weight from toe to nose it seems. Lucky enough
