Is that photo of a cricket? Looks like a grasshopper to me. Crickets inside rooms and kittens caught in walls have one thing in common: Impossible to locate from the sound alone.

We have a whole family of them here now, but they stay civil,just a bit of night music. That one night must have been a cry for a mate.

Tonight an owl or a bat woke us up. It was flying by and also screaming for whatever reason, sigh
