Dubai Ski Dome at the Mall of the Emirates

I realized yesterday via a blog post on April’s Site, that I missed to post quite a few pictures from Dubai.
I guess Life got in the way ;)

Now, here are some shots from that huge Mall with that big Ski Dome.
Insanity rules a bit over there, if you ask me ;)

(Picture quality sucks a tad, they are shot with my Casio. And that Babe doesn’t like low light too much)

Here’s the view from the Highway on that huge thing they call a ski slope. And the signs to the right point you in all kinds of directions to more fancy attractions.

The mall from the Inside

The Ski Slope from the outside - HUGE!

A Restaurant with view…

Ice Sculptures

And the Dome entrance area, snowball making for kids

People watching

Here’s a link to my post about the Hotel we stayed in & more Dubai shots.

If I remember correctly, the first of those indoor ski slopes was built in Japan - back when THEIR economy was booming and they were they crazy people in the world.

Hello Nicole! Thanks for visiting my blog!

It's quite interesting over here too... ;-) What did you think about Dubai? It looks/sounds to me as artificial as Las Vegas. Not that I've visited any of the two though.

Thanks all :)

@BLOGitse - I don't know. I think there are a few real people, but they are quite rare ;)

@Noelia - thank you too :)

I don't know, we have only been there for three days. I would have loved to see the Souq, but hubby wasn't in the mood. Then again, it's probably the same like it had been in Kuwait.
I have a book with old photos of the ME and I would have loved to see it then.
When I think of that, I can answer your question with "yes". It is artificial through and through ;)

That is so cool! I've never seen anything like that. I can only imagine how enormous that is.
