First glimpse
Well, I guess I gotta get started to show you guys some glimpses, no?
Top left is the back of our apartment (there are six besides each other).
It’s 2 minutes to the Pool from here and the back terrace is in the shade from late morning to evening, NICE
!
Top right is the pool at the far end. There’s a small private Zoo too. We might have a tour through it soon.
Bottom left is part of the dirt field where I can let the dogs run. You also see one of the mosques and parts of the surrounding mountains (which by the way keep the dust away from us. Otherwise we would have had a dust storm today, I think).
Bottom right is hungover me, just in case you don’t recognize me ![]()
Yesterday we’ve been on the market (souk) in Old Sharm (no, no pics this time).
Let me just say that we had great and a few not so great experiences.
But nothing one couldn’t get used to when staying here longer.
You will know after a while where to buy what and people will get to know you and NOT try to sell 2 small Mangos to you for 10 Dollars and insult you when you nicely decline.
The great experience was a gorgeous smooth red leather handbag (and a nice wallet for hubby) for 35 US Dollars. And some darn good sunglasses from Oakley. Grin

The pics are all but great, but thanks anyway, grin
@Jo
Thanks

Yes, it was the usual crap, but so extreme in a few cases.
Anyhow, like you say, the good outweighs the bad
Sharm is a tourist area - that's why the prices are high
but
do enjoy anyway!!!

yes, we will stay here for a while and I do know that they'll try to cheat you at any corner in most cases, but I was not prepared for getting insulted when I decline to buy 2 small Mangos for 10 Dollars.
Or get insulted because I decided not to buy cheap, dusty sunglasses for 5 bucks.
But like I said, then we also met nice people that made us a decent price for their stuff.
So exciting that you are finally back with your hubby. Can't wait to see more photos and hear more about your life! So glad to have you back girl!

Well, guess you can't see the circles under my eyes, grin

Yepp, I'm glad I'm back too.
Internet is slow at times, but it's not like I don't have enough other things to do when it's gone
I'm sure I will find enough places with good people where one can do normal shopping.
I love to go on markets and get veggies and stuff there.
We shall see how things turn out
