Had a nightmare

I had a nightmare last night.
I was going to buy a new camera.
I was trying to get the Nikon D300, but all they had there was the D3 (hehe, evil grin).
I tested it and I didn’t like it. The screen was so weird, I couldn’t focus right, it was more like that thing did everything by itself the way IT wanted it.
Is that a warning?
;)
Not that I could afford the D3 to begin with…. :>>
But the D300 comes into close range for next year  (when I don’t have to spend 300 Dollars more just for buying it in Kuwait >:XX)

The photoblog is fabulous :). Will definitely find some use for one or a few! What camera do you use now?

****-
Wow, you have really done up your blog.
Good job.

About the D300, don't forget you need to put some good lens in front of that amazing body to get good results.

It would be better to buy a cheaper body (such as D80) with a great lens rather than D300 with a bad lens.

The lowest and cheapest lens I would suggest is the $700 18-200 AF-S VR lens.

Thank you ;)

That's one reason why I'm waiting to buy it ;)
The 300 Dollars the Kuwaiti put on top of the usual price will be a good start for the new lens.
The rest of it comes from the money I've saved from selling my pictures over the last 8 months and maybe a little discount I can get somewhere :P

I'm patient and can wait.....waiting now since over a year, so,.....

@Sally
A Casio EX-P505 - small, but good.
One reason I don't want to part with it, not even for a DSLR is that I'm able to twist and turn the display and shoot at neat angles ;)
But the noise I get in many pictures just starts to annoy the crap out of me ;)

Can't your hubby or somebody from his family buy the camera in the States for you? Cameras are so much cheaper there *sigh*

A Nikon is an excellent choice but waaaaay out of my league (and too big for me to always carry around) :(

Do you know the forum over at www.dpreview.com? I have been a member there for years, they support every camera and especially for Olympus folks are very cool and super nice. They also have great camera reviews there! Check it out and let me know what you think of it. LOL, when I go online there are three things I check: my mail, WP and dpreview :D
