Driving through Europe is a weird experience sometimes.
The countries are different, but yet somewhat the same.
Weird people driving weird ways everywhere.
Or doing weird things.
It started yesterday morning in Hungary, a mere 22 KM from our home.
A two lane street in a city, I take the left lane to drive by a slower car. A few meters further a truck blocked the right lane and instead of waiting, the lady just tried to get on my lane, not seeing me at all…..oh well, all went well.
Next idiot waiting on the bumpy road, taking over before a corner, don’t tell me he could see anything, and I was already driving 110 Km/h.
Another village a few KM later. An older lady in black standing at the right side of the road, waving her arms frantically to someone / what at the other side of the road. I was too busy keeping an eye on that lady (I was really afraid, she would jump on the road right in front of me), to register that there was a dog running towards her. I almost got him, but all went well.
Stupid lady, should have waved toward me, to stop, instead of trying to communicate with that happy pooch.
Close to Balaton I had a suicidal handicapped guy on a Speedway in his electric wheelchair….My Dad was crazy in regards of thinking that he knows best where he can drive with his wheelie, but even he would have never driven there.
Austria and Germany was business as usual. Crazy people, but also nice ones.
And the light in the sky tried to fry us all.
I had the windows open the whole drive (except later in the evening).
I thought, King would like it a lot, but, well, one time I looked in the rear view mirror and he was trying to find his way underneath the blanky.
I closed the back windows after that ![]()
I wonder, that I still can move, I should have a stiff neck, but so far, it works well.
Am in an Internet Cafe right now, having a “Koelsch” and scanning the dog papers from the Vet. Took already a bunch of pictures of Koblenz and have been on a walk with the dogs. Now I need to take some more, go back to the doggies and drive back to Bonn.
Take care out there and have a great weekend!
