Hot water is a bliss

Or so I thought on Friday when a technician finally, after two months, managed to get the hot water going without it coming out as brown yucky stuff, piping hot water or as hot steam.
We even got a new shower head and hose.
It was a bliss to take a shower Friday night, after not being able to sleep before my trip.

Saturday night I heard rummaging. I thought it was the neighbours.
I was too dead tired from the sleepless night and the trip to bother much.

Tonight at ten I heard rummaging again, went outside and it’s technicians on the roof.

I called them at four in the afternoon, told them the water is cold.

Now it’s eleven thirty and they just came back to fix whatever they started yesterday and today.

What goes on in these peoples minds? They play football at eleven at night and two am in the morning. They repair things in the middle of the night on a rooftop.

No point in letting security know, they already do.
And the manager doesn’t answer his mobile. As usual.

He will learn about it in the morning. Trust me.
This goes beyond being pissed.

Well, after a few hours of sleep (interrupted by something they left loose on the rooftop and the strong winds last night rolling it around and around), I DO feel a bit sorry for them guys too.
Obviously they just tried to fix something, that I need.
But still....|-| B)

Was ich da so lese, es ist schon sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig was die da so treiben. Ich glaube, ich würde ausrasten...:-)

Amoeba says they do such crazy things so they do not have to do them in the heat of the day.

as for me i would b glad if they even turned up at all. often i would call them but they r not interested in small 'jobs' . not profitable enuf. my hot water heater was gone for more than a yr before i bought some electrical equipment n they came n fixed it while they were installing the new equipment.

These guys are "included" in our rent.
So, they should fix stuff asap and good.
Well "should" is the key word I guess ;)

Glad I'm not living where you live.
I would either go mad or turn into a technician myself ;)

In an area of the world where water is as critical a resource as it is - you'd think that a 'water issue' would be one of the first things they would respond to.

@Lou, on the contrary.
I need to let the water run quite a while to get it warm.

@Dan - let me think about that one ;)

@BLOGitse - where do I compare?
I complain, yes.
But I didn't say that it's better in Germany or Hungary, or did I?

Yikes, what trouble just to get a hot shower. I'm glad that you can at least enjoy that simple pleasure now.

Living with out hot water sucks! I know, trust me, a lot of times while I was serving with the army we wouldn't have hot water for weeks.

Glad you got it fixed.

Thanks - We currently have a healthy shower.
It switches from hot to normal to cold and back.....
Hubby goes and talks to the manager today.
I'll be with him and let him know that I'm not impressed that we are always the idiots where people jump around on the rooftop in the middle of the night, whereas they repair stuff elsewhere during the normal day hours :(

Hi Ben,
welcome back to bloggy world :>>
Months? Yeah, the good old military always has been good in supporting it's troops, no?

Someone in USA once told me, In India you the luxuries are cheap. The basics are expensive and hard to find. You can get a mani, pedi, massage etc for 2 dollars. But electricity and water, you can't depend on. Sigh.
