King had to get his shots yesterday, so we made a little tour to Barcs.

The Vet there is a so called Allatpatika (Pharmacy - for pets?), and the Ladydoctor speaks quite good German.

While preparing the Shots for Kingster we talked a bit.
Which wnt sort of like follows:

Me: Quite a bit of people here today!
LD: Yes (but with sort of a sad smile)
Me: Nah, better a lot that none, no?
LD: Sure, but I’m getting to old for this. I start at 8 and stop at…
Me: Let me guess - 10?
LD: Yes, between 9 and 10

She does the Shots and Checkups in the country side to. For people who breed dogs and whatnot.

She also does take care of the local dog shelter in Barcs.

Wait a minute, the what?!

Yes, since a while they have a local dog shelter. 90 dogs they have so far.
No founds from the government and neither from the EU.
All done privately.
With her doing the medical care.
WOW….

Now, there’s my new cause for my “Animal rescue” category in my zazzle store.
100% of the Sales from that category will go from now on to the dog shelter in Barcs, Hungary.
I will still have to change the titles and descriptions in the products, which will take a wee while, but it will happen.

So, in case you are still looking for a nice gift…. *insert shameless self-pimping for a good cause *

Anyhow, in the new year, latest, I will visit the doctor again and ask her permission to take photos in the shelter and of the shelter & the location.
A new blog post and hopefully new cute products for that category will follow.

I will also try to find some information how the regulations for the money flow in regards shelters are in the EU.
Hubby thinks there’s some sort of law which contributes money from a found to shelters in the EU. I’m sort of doubtful, but I’ll try.
He also suggested to check out the International Animal Rights group.

If anyone out there already has experience with that or any addresses, I would appreciate any input.

I tried to do the tiny challenge / assignment about birdies today.

It was a challenge, because I heard them and knew they were there, but I could NOT see them.
