Maria Laach, Eifel, Germany
I’m not sure, if I showed these before, I couldn’t find anything.
Again, the region where I grew up.
This is in the Eifel region in the Rhineland-Pfalz palatinate.
A volcanic region with beautiful lakes called “Maare".
The place I show you today is called Maria Laach.
It has a beautiful, big lake and long tracks where you can go for walks.
A nice Hotel, restaurants and a Camping are are there as well.
It has one of the biggest Benedictine Monasteries around with a beautiful church.
The Chorus of the monks is known Germany wide and people come from far away to listen to them.
The lake
The Church
And the view from a watchtower called “Lydia Turm” in direction of the Rhine valley
and Brohl-Luetzing.

These are lovely pics Nicole. Germany is one of my must do places. You have such wonderful architecture.Easyjet do flights there from Newcastle, so hopefully I will get lucky.
Is it expensive once you get there in comparison to other places in Europe - say France or Spain?

Danke, Dirk, gab's auf Ipernity schon im letzten Jahr
Danke, Mme Deutlich, so do I
!Thanks, Catherine!
Ryanair should fly quite cheap too, no?
I think compared to England, Germany might even be better off.
Stuff got more expensive, but it's like the Rest of Europe.
Thank you, Marjie, it is /was.
