Birdwatching and nature loving in Kuwait
Yesterday at the pools his majesty here was the only raptor around (and that only in the distance, sigh).
And he only came to my rescue when I was about to leave.
More Info and sound (and again thanks for the ID guys!)
Translation of name: Bavariabirds
Birdcount (9.15 am - 10.15 am):
lots of white or pied wagtails (maybe some grey ones, will get that checked later?), at least 30 noisy Spur winged Plovers, ca. 5 few storks, a flock of approx. 5 adult Black coot with maybe 20 one yr old Juveniles (I guess), some yet to be identified ducks, a flock of some sort of swallow (ID will follow) and some more small birdies.

Eagles are such majestic birds. Love these.
I just heard there are some bald eagles north of where I live but I haven't seen them. I'm very excited!

What a gorgeous raptor Nicole! I like the second shot showing the colorful pattern on the back of this bird. I am wondering how often you see this bird as BirdLife International designates it as "Vulnerable"

Thanks everyone.
@Larry - this was my first time seeing him, but I'm not often at the Sewers (no car).
There are a few more birders around, some of them a few times a months at the Sewers.
I will ask them.
