That is a lovely Oriole, much different than those we get here in Maine. Excellent photos!

Great post. I used to enjoy seeing the Orioles when they came down into Africa to over winter but I have not been fortunate enough to see them in Europe as yet.

How lovely! Yes, your orioles are quite different than the variety we get here, too - even different from the ones they have in Maine! Is he offering the lady a tender morsel, in that second photo? How sweet!

@Carver - Thanks :)

@Celeste - Thanks - these were my first ones EVER :)

@RJ - that's weird - I thought they look always the same :D
That's why some call some birds "old" and "new world", I guess?
Yepp, he was trying to give her something and after a short while she accepted.
I didn't want to post the second shot at first, but we needed it for IDing the female properly :)

@Carletta - Thanks :)

@Michelle - Thanks :)
I had the idea since a while, but wasn't sure if I could come up with enough.
Now I almost have too much.
Oh well, I bet I will soon spend some time in a desert country again, or winter will come and I can "use up" all the shots from this Spring and summer ;)
