These Beauties were yesterday and today to be seen on the golf course.
Yesterday it was almost 30 of them and today we had about 15.
I haven’t seen them here before. Maybe they just arrived.

He gets up to 90cm tall and the plumage you see here is his winter plumage.
The head turns more white during the breeding season.

Great. In the last shot with wings spread out, he seems very much king of his own little island.

Thanks everyone.
This was a long 3 day weekend with major hangover parts.
Yesterdays pics were part of the hangover recovery.
Underexposed and not what I wanted them to be.
Glad you like them, nonetheless ;)]

Will catch up with you all tomorrow, as usual :>>

Your blog has gotten a bit flighty lately. In fact, it seems to have gone to the birds. ;) (I thought I'd throw in a couple of American idioms.

I envy you all of these great birds to photograph. Those last two shots would have made great entries in Weekend Reflections.

Nice photos. Cormorants are always fun to watch. There were a couple of Little Black Cormorants out on the bay this morning close to where I was kayaking.

Wow Nicole, those truly are GREAT Cormorants! With a wingspan of 4 to 5 feet, they must be an awesome sight in person.

I was able to see a few Double-crested Cormorants on the golf course yesterday. They sure are fun birds to watch and not all that easy to photograph. Nice shooting!
