Juvenile steppe Buzzard

Juvenile steppe buzzard in flight

I first thought this guy was a honey buzzard, but once again I got some help over at BirdForum and they put me straight.

Juvenile steppe Buzzard waiting

This fellow is a juvenile steppe buzzard (Buteo buteo vulpinus).
I love the shots I got - click on them to see them larger

Juvenile steppe Buzzard in flight

Hi Nicole,
You take glorious bird shots! I can see the patterns on his wings. B)
I put up one of the moon to illustrate my poem, but I have a lot to learn about shooting outside at night.

Thanks everyone! :>>

@April - hatte mein Server wieder Schluckauf? :)

@Janice - yes, more about that one of these days ;)

@Gel - I have trouble with getting the settings right for the moon (or being outside in general) every time.
I guess it's all about "how often do we do it?"
