Toller Vogel. Sitzt da herum, als wenn er nur darauf wartet, fotografiert zu werden...

Great shot! Love the blue sky, the bird and the metal piece.

So it is going to be our one year anniversary soon. Are you doing Nablo this year?

Congrats on your first Osprey Nicole! They are an amazing raptor with exceptional skills. They are, without a doubt, the extreme fisher birds. The way they dive and catch the fish, then turn them around in their talons to fly aerodynamically back to the feeding perch or nest...thrilling to watch, and beautiful.

Now I know why I want to go back to that spot where I saw this Beauty ;)

Maybe I see him fishing.

Thanks everyone!

Mr. or Mrs gorgeous here was a good distance away. The only thing I could tell from where I was standing was, that it was a pretty large bird with spots I hadn't seen before ;)

@Scriber - I don't know if I do NaBlo - will you?
Is it only one year? It seems longer :)

Ah! So there are ospreys in Egypt for the winter? We have osprey here in spring and summer. They will return in early April when I hope to get a photo as good as yours!

Thanks Soe & Stine :)

@Stine - I hope to get a better one at one of these days.
I'm not sure if he's here over winter or if he just took a break on his way further south :)

Hi there Nicole,

WHOHOOOOOOOOOOOO! Congrats to you for this "first." Look at that pose. He knows he's being photographed. Or is it a she? It's a glorious high! I saw your list. WOW! 54 different birds catalogued so far. I am just now trying to photo birds but I think I do not have a strong enough zoom, not to mention that I am trying this from my own backyard so the birds will be rather common!

Thanks everyone :)

@Gel - just take them pics, ID the birds you find and if you have fun with it, the Rest will come over time.

I still have to ID all my backyard birds, time's running too fast ;)

This shot was taken from quite far away. So, yes, you would have the need for a strong zoom :)

And no, he sure didn't see me snap happily, he was busy on the lookout for prey ;)
