Partial lunar eclipse

New Years eve I was looking at the beautiful full moon at one moment, looking at the next I saw a shadow there at one corner.
It was not a cloud.
Mh.
Last time I saw something like this was in Hungary and it was a lunar eclipse.
Thought it and ran for my camera.
Today I read that it indeed was a partial lunar eclipse.
Am I not a happy (and lucky) Camper?

That's a beautiful shot, Nicole. I had a shot of the same moon (my blog entry for 31st Dec) but before the eclipse, which I didn't know about. It was also a blue moon - second full moon of the month.

For me as an amateur, I have problem doing darker background photos, my 16 year old son is smarter and could do similar things, not me.
