Shopping carts on coral reefs

A friend of mine came back from a boat snorkeling trip to the Ras Mohamed nature preserve park yesterday.

They saw the beautiful coral reefs.

And they saw loads of trash, plastic bags and a shopping cart in the water.

Which reminds me of the sight I had on the clifftop near one of those snorkeling Sites:

It's just sickening to me what people do. What a beautiful site until you come to the rubbish. I wish there was an easy answer to this but people just don't care...very sad.

It seems there are two kinds of people in the world. People who give a shit, and people who don't!

Is it too late to hang whoever invented the shovel? Burial will be no problem.

Thankfully we have a good group of people who like to help Earth and pick up after the heathens.

Nice one, Doug.

Nicht nur das Meer, Kvelli :(

Thanks, Jingle. I don't really do awards, but thanks - I appreciate it!

@Lisa - that won't cut it here.
It is way TOO much :(

Wrong?

It really is tragic to see what humans have done. I hope that the reefs there live and thrive much longer. Here in the U.S., I believe there is only 1 left on the coastline.

@April - 'greed rules the world' passt hier noch am allerbesten :(

@Beng - indeed. And then they start crying that the tourists won't come any more (their main concern)

Egal in welcher Ecke.

@Sandy - they will manage to destroy them, trust me.
As well as the deserts.

I was taking photos the other day of the mountains across an open field. As I looked through the viewfinder I could see pieces of trash all over the field. Humans are so lazy, it doesn't take that much effort to put something in a trash can.

@Squirrel Queen - I've lived in many places and have seen it all over too.
It's a sad world and we humans, I'm afraid, will never learn.
