First sunrise 2008.
Not a spectacular one, but I always love the first one.
I “celebrate” my New Year end of October with the last full moon or depending on how it comes with the first one in November (maybe I’ll explain that one of these days), but the old tradition of New Year is still in my bones it seems
It’s a hazy morning, too warm almost after all these cold, fresh and chilly days. One of those where you wear a jacket and get cranky because you feel too warm. But going without it would just mean getting a cold.
Oh well, I’ll live
I was too lazy to go and catch it from the beach - shame on me - so here is the lazy version of 2008ths first sunrise in Kuwait in Mangaf

So, did you all celebrate last night?

We went to bed at 8.30, caught a glimpse of New Zealand, Australia, Japan and China before we went. And some preparations for the 60 seconds of fame in New York.
I don’t know, you could pay me money to go there, I wouldn’t.
Being in a crowd of 1 million people?
Nope, those days are over for me, am just not a crowd person, never really have been.

Well, I hope you all have a fun day without any hangovers (that’s what I always hated about the first day of the year - how can a year become a good year when you feel like shit on the very first day?) and a good start into 2008!!!

Wer zum Kuckuck sucht sich denn einen Wolf fuer Silvestergruesse?

Da habe ich einen Eintrag von 2004 vom alten blog her kopiert mit dem Titel und nun klickt sich in Deutschland einer wunde Finger mit dem Suchbegriff und landet ca. 40 Mal bei mir.
In Google war’s gestern auf Seite 3, haette ich nicht gedacht.

Verstehen tu ich’s trotzdem nicht, was sucht der denn da? “Frohes Neues Jahr” ist doch am einfachsten….
Vielleicht suche ich selber mal und gucke was ich finde

Somebody is typing his fingers bloody with the search for “Silvestergruesse” (New Years Greetings).
I copied an old entry with that title (from 2004) and now it pops up in google search on page 3 (still a long way to click though) and someone has hit my page yesterday with that 40 times.
What can someone be looking for?

Zum Glueck scheinen wir heute tatsaechlich nicht weg zu gehen. Hab keine Lust. Dieselben Gesichter, Smalltalk mit Leuten, die ich nicht mag und Taxifahrt nach Gumi, da ja immernoch die bloede Ausgangssperre herrscht (in Gumi zwar auch, da kontrolliert jedoch keiner).
Also verbringen wir den Abend gemuetlich zu Hause. Floyd macht Spare Ribs und Shrimps und ich hab Zeit fuer mich ;-) Danach wird wohl gemuetlich ein Film geguckt.
