Old cameras
In the Box with all the pictures I found 2 old cameras from my Grand Dad as well.
One is the Agfa Silette Agnar.
I found it on this Site, but not with the exact lens. None of them says “Diana".

The other one is a Halina.
Now I only wish buying film for them was easier. And having them developed decently for a decent price as well.
Because getting used to those would take me a bunch of training
Nah, I better get used to my big Baby first ![]()
I just wonder, if one of the cams did go with him to Russia.
It wasn’t the Agfa. n that Site they say, this one was built in the 50ties.
I doubt it anyway. Almost all things worth something were sold by my uncle while he still lived at my Grand parents house. Sneakily one by one. Double sigh.
I will try to take some better shots with my Casio and macro lens (and better light) tomorrow and ask around on flickr if anyone of those camera geeks there knows about The Agfa one.
It is said that it’s the sister camera to the Russian “Diana".
No clue here
If anyone of you has an idea, let me know
P.S.: Hubby told me to go and get some film and shoot some pics with the cams. I told him what I just wrote here (about getting the film, the price of developing and me learning the new cam - we had quite a good laugh about it
)

The funny part is, I never realized it.
Neither that I had a passion for it, nor that my Grand Dad did.
But he had some great pics and a lovely Album - from the time during war. If you can use those words in one sentence with that. But for the lack of better ones I will.
I so wish he was still there now to answer some questions...
I'll ask my friend Carol and see if she has a clue about these. Seems like a mystery.
@Scriber - I would appreciate it

Thanks, Kontan

I believe the Agfa Silette dates from the late 1960s, and though I don't know about the DIANA on the front, it is a Silette-L, of which there are many variants.
The Halina was made in Hong Kong, circa 1959, an inexpensive but heavy little 35mm camera.
Have fun!
Mark
It says "Agnar" on the lens though.
I say this cam is strange
