Paulo Coelho

I stumbled over one of his books in my favorite little stationary shop in Fahaheel some time last year.
I didn’t know what to expect, have been away from Bestseller lists for too long to know that there’s a big hubub about him and his books.
The Alchemist was my first one and after that I was hopelessly hooked.
Not sure he’s a good read for everyone, but I’m sure that everyone can find something for his own Life in those books.
Anyhow, here’s a little collection
You can also visit his website and his blog.
There he offers free ebooks and on Pirate Coelho you will find links to those ebooks in other languages than english.
Have fun
P.S.: There’s a neat little tool called kindle to read e-books and such. Has anyone tried that yet?

The main selling point of Kindle is it's wireless delivery.
It works using cellular technology called Whispernet using Sprint's EVDO. More importantly, the wireless access for downloading content is free to the end-user.
Unless Amazon can work out similar agreements with different telco's, it will basically remain the domain of U.S.
Pity.
On the other hand, if you merely want a eBook reader (and one that looks a lot more sexier than Kindle and is not tied to any wireless delivery AND is cheaper), check out Sony's eReader.

I was wondering how that thing works and I mean, the price is pretty steep as well.
I'm like Lisa on that, I just love a book in my hand and turn the pages.
But in a few years we will have to go with the flow I guess & switch to everything on a screen, sigh
