On my way to the grocery shop this morning (one of the little ones around the corner) I got close to getting sick.
When walking the dogs a bit earlier I saw a cat, half dead “walking” along.
On my way, I tried to find her and spotted her under a car.
I got closer and looked, if I could somehow help her. But she was beyond that.
Her face was mashed up. Healed though, I have no clue how.
I thought of possible ways of helping her, but she sort of looked diseased as well.
I don’t want my dogs to get sick, plus, I have no car to bring her to the vet.
I just hope, she has a soon and quick death, poor thing ![]()
I’m not sure if someone around here does things to cats in purpose, because there’s a dead cat,
not starved, laying around in the rubble.
Anyhow.
Feeling sick, I walked to the grocery shop and caught some movement out of the corner of my eye.
I looked and saw a black Puppy at the trash cans.
Sigh.
I started walking towards it, making soothing noises.
It started walking away, but kept looking at me.
A few minutes later I was carrying a female poochie home.
Wild guess, around 9 months old, skinny & badly beaten but no wounds and otherwise all healthy.
After a little hubbub and jumping around on couches, barking at my dogs for getting on her nerves,
eating a whole bowl of food and drinking a bunch of water, we went for a Pi and Pooh.
That’s when Steph from AFL called me back, that they have no one to pick her up.
Keeping her overnight?
No way, sweet as she is, she would probably not like to stay in the Kennel and as easy as that monkey hops
furniture couldn’t let her roam around, she would end up in our bed ![]()
So, I took the sweet girl and we went on a taxi ride to the IVH, where Steph said I could drop her off and
they take care of her (that’s our Vet as well).
I lucked out and got a young Pakistani Taxi driver who lives in the neighborhood. So I had a safe and pleasant ride.
The sweet princess slept in my Lap the whole way, happy that someone took care of her.
If someone out there wants a sweet poochie to love and take care off, I’m sure she’ll be ready for adoption soon.
