Restaurant Freej Soeleh

One of the few Restaurants in Kuwait that serves traditional Kuwaiti food.
It was delicious (even though my pictures don’t look like it) and the prices are amazing.
It’s in Salmiya, between Mark’s & Spencer / Marina Mall and the Sultan Center.

A million thanks to Miss A. for taking us here :)!!
And thanks for leaving the names of the various foods ;)
Maybe you can give me the explanation again for the name of the Restaurant?
Can’t get it together properly any more, I’m getting old.

The pictures are mostly self explanatory, so I let you enjoy them in peace:)

Don’t use Bablfish for your translations ;)
Miss A. wanted to buy one but the manager declined the request.

Follow up:

To the left: Bread with veggies and meat - it’s called tashreeb

To the bottom: a dort of porridge - called jereesh

To the right: Women get this after giving birth, to regain their strength - called kaboot

Morabian Shrimp (not with Curry - Kurkuma and something else)

Momawash Shrimp

Momawash Lamb

The food looks great. I would like to go there, if only to help them spell the menu entries properly.

Thanks for the laugh! BTW, the odd logic of spelling "chicken" as "chickhen" reminded me of my own misunderstanding about my name's spelling when I first learned to write: I wrote "Keera And Fox".

LOL, Chika. That was one of the Best parts of it - that card is so hilarious I laughed until I had tears in my eyes.
But at the same time I'm grateful for them having it in Engrish English at all :)
Even though Miss A. had to translate anyhow, because of us having no clue what what is :)
You have to go and try it :)!

Grin, Lou - the food doesn't exactly look great on my pics, but it SURE WAS great :D
And hey, correcting the spelling would ruin all the fun :D!

@Ahmed - for that I would need directions. We get lost pretty easy :)

@Linus - I will one day learn the difference between the different foods. What was Machboos again?
I know that I could eat any of the first dishes again and again, but I know what I would look like if I would do so.
It's soooo rich, but oh so yummie :D!

LOL, Keera and Fox :D Nice one :)!!
Chickhen in this one comes probably from their way of spelling. They often have the "kh" mix but it's pronounced totally different then a normal "k".
(Correct me if I'm wrong, guys, no expert here ;) )

So did I Miss A. - and next week I drag you to some museums ;)

I find it hilarious that the restaurant looks very much like a Mexican restaurant here in Washington State. Another world away. :) The food looks yummy!

LOL, In Europe it would resemble an Italian Restaurant :D

This looks like a neat place!

I don't envy your humid days though!
