Street views in Hadabah

Houses in Hadabah, Sharm el Sheikh
Mosque in Hadabah, Sharm el Sheikh
Viva Mall in Hadabah, Sharm el Sheikh
Monument in Sharm el Sheikh

Some impressions from our short trip to Naama Bay:

1. A compound for tourists and Expats
2. One of the beautiful mosques here (maybe the most beautiful)
3. Viva Mall (haven’t been inside yet)
4. Some local art, depicting boats coming down a river / the Nile (?)

And a bit off topic, the sky yesterday evening:

What great photos. I really like the last one. :) It looks so different there. Flat and so lacking trees, except the palms of course. I'm really enjoying seeing this part of the world :)

There are striking contrasts in these scenes -- from very bleak to very beautiful.

@Thom - you DO see the mountains in the back, right? ;)

@quilly - it is an amazing place, full of contrasts, yes.
:)

It is strikingly different from Hungary. No herds of large deer. I wonder what wild creatures live up in those mountains.

There are so many gorgeous mosques in this country. One of my friend Adelpha's fave is right next to a mall here in Cairo.

First... Viva Mall! Viva Mall! I want a description with photos! What a fun place to go to!

I loved the sky photo. Amazing colors and patterns.

And just curious. Is the air dusty/sandy there?

@Dan - maybe goats, foxes and such :)

@Typ0 - show pics :)

@Scriber - pics of the mall? Not really that much more to it than you see there ;)
A cafe at the bottom, a few shops for household stuff, a bookshop (which is great!) and the office for one of the local magazines.
That's pretty much it.
Ah, and a fitness thingy to get aerobic and whatnot. :)

Nope, NO dust or sand in the air.
The haze you see is just humidity / heat.

There shouldn't be any problems here in Sharm el Sheikh for them.
Security is there, but not as tight as in places like Hurghada.
You can walk around free and you don't feel any threats.

Yes, I agree with Quilly - striking contrasts - some bleak, some beautiful. Beautiful sky, and would love to see some closer shots of the houses.

That's a heat haze? My heavens, it looks hot as an oven. Hard to picture here, where I'm already wrapping up in a scarf and hat to walk to work.

@Kvelli - Flug mit Condo fuer 149 Euro ;)

@Janice - will try to get some more houses one of these days. So far nothing's really impressed me though ;)

@Spark - we met some Austrians yesterday that fled the early snow in Austria for a week.
I can't even think what snow would feel like right now.

@Lisa - Glad you enjoy :)
