Sunday sunshine walk

After being at the computer last night until 12.30 I didn’t think I would be able to go anywhere today.
Especially thanks to some people having a loud party with Life music.
But I guess the “beautiful” Hungarian polka music put me asleep after a while.
Woke up pretty fresh at 5.30 thanks to the active birdies on duty.

Had coffee and thought I should go and try to find that young eagle’s parents.

Off we went to the lake and first glance around the corner I just had time enough to raise my camera and get this big boy.

I got a “little” scare (understatement of the day) when I saw this piggy around a bend of the path. But it pretty much ignored us, the dogs didn’t see it and the Mom was nowhere to be seen either.
I decided to climb up a high seat and check out the area.
JoJo didn’t like that idea, I actually didn’t either.
I’m still not very good with heights.
So, instead of going back the same way like yesterday which means just straight back the easy path, I decided to walk along the lake.
Well, it worked, but I can’t win a Beauty contest with my scratched up legs in the next few days, grin.

sunshiny sunday walk

When we came out of the underworld we scared a various birds. Ducks, two grey herons, Coots and the family of swans, which probably think we have no home.
King stole the Lunch of the poor heron, bad boy, I hope that poor thing came back later and could find it.
We paused at the lake side for a bit and got a surprise by two white tailed eagle adults doing a little dog fight and either a Juvenile or a marsh harrier (I think it was a marsh harrier by seize), attacking both of them.
I think they tried to get his Lunch, tsts…

More White tailed eagle shots can be found at my new nature blog, where I will post all things solely nature.
Then I can talk more about my day over here and bore you with pure nature over there ;)
It’s right around the corner, all you actually do, is look at the header and click “Nature” in the top right corner.

Hi Nicole, I really feel like I've been out with you when you post lots of photos from a day out like this! :)
Looks like you're having beautiful summer weather. Ours seems to have ended, just as the kids finished school for the long summer holiday... :(

Thanks, Dawn :)

@Janice - I hope it will change again.
Weather was hot and humid last week. Not my kind of weather at all.
We had storms Saturday and that has cleared the air.
Now it's sunny and nice.
Still a tad too warm to haul around that big Babe, but hey, what else can I do.
Not take pictures? No way ;)

@Thom - that's alright :D
Two years ago on flickr they called me the "Macro Queen" :>>
Thanks and yeah, King is just amazing in finding the oddest things :)

Thanks, Sandy - it was :)

@quilly - well, it gets a bit cluttered in here and literally it is all on ONE blog, you know.....
Now I can talk more on one and post more nature Info on the other and that on the same day without bugging anyone. :>>
