Trash
Trash is something that always bugs me when I find it outside.
Especially when I find it in nature.
It is so unnecessary.
It bugged me in Korea.
It bugged me in Kuwait.
And it is bugging me here.
We found big piles of it yesterday.
In the forest.

In a well.

Stuff from old walls on the roads to cover the holes (at least that makes sense sort of).
A big pile of something. They burn wood and stuff out of the gardens here and more than often plastics as well.
I stopped walking past here in the summer, because it always stinks and makes me wanna puke.

And the all around a"new” Hotel project in “town".
The project goes on since two years.
They are renovating an old complex, but that’s another story.
Fact is they just dump their trash all around the property. ![]()
And nobody gives a shit.

oooooh my dear, come to here and you'll see worse! argh! People just do NOT care!

What is outside their own door, nobody cares....
so SAD!!!

That is so sad about the trash. It is such a beautiful country. Why spoil it?

It amazes me that in 2008 people do not understand the tremendous damage of inappropriate waste disposal. I took the girls to see Wall-e over the summer and it wasn't too far of a stretch to imagine getting to the point of all consuming trash.

Moving to Haebangchon has been a garbage filled experience - it's the worst neighbourhood in Seoul that I've encountered so far.
Do you know the area? Where did you live in Korea?

Oh Yes..another opportunity to vent...in New Mexico, "The Land of Enchantment" (a name it so deserves) you can drive for miles and miles across beautiful desert, and there are lots of fences here and there to keep cattle in..and what is tangled up in these fences? Plastic bags of course! Plastic bags are the post modern tumbleweed. Grrrrrr.....
2008-12-09 @ 22:21:06
YUCK!!!

BLOGitse - I've spent one year in Kuwait. I know what you are talking about. Trust me.
) but I get the idea what it is about. And I'm glad the girls got the message. I wish more
people would
!

Scriber - I DO NOT know. Honestly. I don't know an answer for littering in any country.
Kontan - I haven't seen Wall-e, nor did I know what it was about (we left Kuwait too ealry to catch it on DVD - oups....
Amanda, I know. Trash bags. No cans, no big bins, nada. Plastic bags. Add stray cats & dogs.
That was my every day picture in Waegwan where we lived for two years. Trash. Spilled over the street by cats and dogs because these Morons have not heard of big containers.
Lou - yes!
And no, I don't know that area. We only visited Seoul briefly (on a stupid unnecessary GYN visit)
I have mentioned trash so many times on my old blog and this one, I could fill a book.
Here are some of my old blog: Tag search trash and this blog
