World War III

by NicoleB Email

I thought we actually already had reached that point.
I mean, look at our world. Almost every country seems to be involved in one way or another in a war zone on this planet.

But that doesn’t seem to be enough.
The sleeping giant called Russia that so many countries tried to befriend over the last few decades finally wakes up again.
I was a bit suspicious the whole time and I wasn’t the only one I guess.

The other giant, the US tried to spook us with warning on nuclear threat from Iran.
Guess what. We have a nuclear threat on our door step right now. And not whenever someone finishes something. It is there.
Not that Russia officially has threatened anyone, but come on.
How far will this go?

I really wish the US would step out of foreign entanglements so we can stop being blamed for the world's problems. However, if we did then we would be the bad guys for not doing anything or enough. Can't win either way so I would rather us stop wasting our money on foreign soil.

I understand. Hubby and I are talking about that quite often.
If you guys don't go to countries to "help" you get blamed later and if you go you get blamed as well.
And countries that bitch about the US cry for their help as soon as a catastrophe happens.....

Hi Nicole - I first heard about this when I was on vacation. And I must admit, it scared me too. As you said, if Russia get away with this, where will they stop? And they're a big country.

Russia already got away with what they did and are doing in Chechnya, because the people from Chechnya fight back the way they can and are called terrorists.
Let's not forget Afghanistan and the Balkans.....
I don't think this will end good. They know that European troops are peace keeping troops and are already stretched in Darfur and Afghanistan. Same with the Americans.
