I love the song of the Bulbuls, they always make me happy.

These two fellows were sitting in my favorite tree, sharing it with a bunch of sparrows.

Most of them got homeless when these idiots here cut down the trees along the road and the big trees at the beach.

There were less Bulbus in the last few weeks, it seems now they are slowly coming back.

I’ve learned that the White-eared Bulbuls can have differently coloured eye-rings. Weird.
Nobody seems to be able to explain why and the bird books don’t mention the eye-rings at all.

I was on my way to the airport after a long a** walk around the bay and to the Red Fort. I was hoping to see some birds I saw on a drive-by the last time we were in Bahrain and instead found the bay with all the great shore-birds. But you know how tired you can get of these fellows after a while.
So I asked the big voice out there to PLEASE give me something before I go back ‘home’.

He gave me a crested lark,…. nice,…. but I know them already.
Ok,….
I hear something annnnnddddd see something.
But it was across the darn main street and I was already running on a tight time schedule for the plane, so 4 shots all sort of from the back is all I got.

But it seems I got my wish. :)
