Some more from my archives from May 2005.

I had hoped to post these with ID’s, but despite finding some good ID guides online, I had not much luck in getting any closer to ID-ing these fellows. If anyone of you has a clue, let me know. ;)

The task of going through my archives and ID all the critters in there and delete, delete, delete is still as daunting as it was on the day I started *sigh*. Why can’t pics ID and sort themselves? ;)

The first one I thought could belong to the ‘Podisus brevispinus‘ family.

Another idea for number one is the ‘Coreus marginatus’ (Dock Bug) family. The ‘tail’ end doesn’t fit though. Maybe a subspecies?

Number two looks at least a little similar to a ‘Palomena prasina’ or ‘Green Shield bug’. The colours of the antenna are a bit off though and the eyes pop out more on my fellow.

OK, seems number two is more like a ‘Nezara viridula‘, a Green vegetable bug (found here – for anyone searching the Asian region it’s at least a start – for other regions, check my sidebar, I added  more links).

The third one seems to be a ‘Dolycoris baccarum‘ – a Hairy or Sloe Shield bug
