Not exactly, but that’s what I got after editing around a bit and it fits the current weather. This is sort of what our sky looked like yesterday. Yuck! Try to breathe. Double yuck. (The Internet is past the point of being wonky too, driving me nuts!)

On the lighter note, I had never seen Slender-billed Gulls (or any Gulls) fly in formation before. This shot is from August 2010 and it really fascinated me to see it. :)

When I saw this fellow yesterday I first thought (from afar) it’s a Black-headed Gull in summer plumage, I almost didn’t take photos since it was so dreary again.

At home I looked at the shots and I went ‘HUH?!’

Looked in my book and asked over at Birdforum, yep, a Pallas’s Gull, also called Great Black-headed Gull. He was still around today, at least one of them.

There’s def. more action around, or should I say more variety. Migration is sure starting early :)

In case you are wondering where I always find the translation for the bird names, check here :)

And no, I am not exaggerating the weather experience ;)

See for yourselves:

And the waves crashing, tough weather for fishing and flying
